POOR LEADERSHIP LEADS TO TRAGEDY

Throughout history poor leadership inevitably leads to a path of decline and destruction.  The Roman Empire in the west declined for many reasons, but one of the main ones was lack of leadership.  One example of poor leadership was the Emperor Nero, who famously fiddled while Rome burned.  He was famous for his debauchery and lack of concern for his citizens.  He represented a long line of ineffective leaders who eventually led to the dissolution of the Western Roman Empire. It got so bad near the end that citizens refused to fight for Rome, and mercenaries had to be hired for security.  Rome’s enemies saw firsthand the lack of leadership.    These mercenaries eventually were part of the invasion force of the Goths and Visigoths who finally put the Western Empire down.

The French Monarchy saw revolution and their own eventual demise for their lack of leadership.  King Louis XVI and his Queen, Marie Antoinette, were installed as rulers of France in 1774.  The monarchy inherited severe debt from their predecessors and a restless population that felt they were not treated well with this ancient feudal system.  They tried to press the King for substantive change, but the King resisted, and his lack of leadership at this crucial moment in time lead to revolution and the monarchies overthrow, and in time with both he and his queen were delivered to the guillotine.   A reign of terror followed, where many thousands of Frenchmen were sent to the same deadly fate.  It took years, and finally Napoleon Bonaparte’s coup to end the killings.

Great Britain in the 1930’s had a Prime Minister named Neville Chamberlain.  During this same period, Adolph Hitler came to power, his NAZI regime energized by the ending of WW1, followed by Germany’s surrender and the infamous treaty of Versailles.  This treaty in effect ruined any recovery for Germany from this devastating war by gutting their treasury for many years and hobbling them economically and militarily.  Hitler took advantage of this terrible situation to rise to power with the idea that Germany would take over Europe and eventually the world.  Prime Minister Chamberlain and other European leaders, remembering the horrors of the last war, took on the position of appeasement with Hitler, allowing him to take over Czechoslovakia and other territories unopposed.  Their weakness drove Hitler to believe that they would do nothing to stop his plans for future expansion, driving the appeasers and eventually the rest of the world to war.  Once again, Germany lost, but not before millions lost their lives, and the Western European powers lost their Imperial dynasties.

Weakness is recognized by evil.  Terrible events happen when evil is on the march, and their target is always the same, weakness.  The Roman Empire fell from their own weakness.  The French Monarchy did the same, and Western European countries were essentially destroyed and their colonies were lost because of their weakness.  Weakness breeds evil response, and evil only succeeds when they take advantage of that situation.  It has happened throughout human history, and I have given you several examples of that.

That brings the conversation to the USA today.  We have a weak, doddering President, obviously controlled by others unseen.  He has made in his first 50 days, unprecedented executive orders that weaken us as a nation, not only in our eyes, but in the eyes of the international community.  He is signing into law bills that further denigrate our society, dividing us into even more sub-groups of victimization.  Our international enemies see this, and so do our allies.  Our allies no longer trust the leadership coming from Washington, and our enemies see an unprecedented opportunity to dethrone us from our leadership position in the world.  The world is an exponentially more dangerous place now than it was just a few short months ago.

Vladimir Putin is now mocking Joe Biden.  The Chinese delegation that met with our top diplomats in Alaska publicly dismissed them and mocked our country as a flawed enterprise.  Iran has snubbed Biden’s overture to rejoin the past nuclear agreement, and other enemies are following suit!  Not only that, but our allies are having second thoughts about our veracity.

Yes, we are in the midst of very dark, dangerous times. We appear very weak as a nation, and that is an invitation for disaster. The left, at least temporarily have operational control of our government and the direction of our nation. We have to pray that we do not get into a war, or have irrevocable damage to our form of government. Prayer alone is not enough, we as a people have to resist by insisting that our representatives, nationally, statewide and locally honor their sworn duty to our Constitution. We also have to find better candidates for the 2022 election and beyond to insure that this weakness never rears its ugly head again here in this greatest country that has ever existed!

THE CONSTITUTION IS UNDER ATTACK, AND SO ARE ALL AMERICANS

When looking at these executive orders and proclamations, one has to note that not only has he signed more orders in 55 days than his last 3 predecessors combined in that same period of time. He has effectively blown-up immigration law, muddied up the corona virus operation “warp speed” initiative, took steps to ensure that our future energy independence would be in doubt, weakened our military, and put our national security at risk by reopening unrestricted travel to and from countries that actively harbor terrorists.  In effect, most of these orders affect all Americans.  Any Executive Order that has any effect on individuals that are not government employees is a violation of Article I Section 1 of the Constitution. Whenever the President issues an Executive Order that extends to all of the people, Congress and the states have a responsibility to the people to reject them.  When a President issues an unconstitutional Executive Order and Congress allows the order to stand, they are violating their oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, and they are ignoring them on purpose.  Most of these orders and proclamations are patently unconstitutional, and should be ignored and put to the constitutional test in the court system.

The unconstitutional activity does not stop with the Biden regime, but one has to take a hard look at the Congress.  HR1 is an abomination.  It unconstitutionally takes the managing of elections from the state, and would if passed embrace all of the unconstitutional excesses seen in the last election.  It is a blatant power grab by the democrats to ensure that our country becomes and stays a 1-party state.

Then we can take a look at HR1319, dubiously named the “American Rescue Plan Act of 2021”.  This was sold to the American public as a corona virus relief bill, but it is anything but that.  Only 9% went to direct payments to Americans, and even then, the money went to many people that did not need it or should not have been eligible for it.  Illegal Aliens were also given this stimulus, and big bonuses were paid to federal employees that had to home school children because of corona virus shutdowns.  The other 91% of the money went to a dream list of Progressive Democrats, rewarding those that support them without any regard to corona virus relief, and funding a variety of very unpopular programs for years on end.  This is a 1.9 trillion-dollar boondoggle, and a big overreach for the Democrats who passed this without any bipartisan support.  This recently was also passed in the Senate also without any bi-partisan support and signed into law by President Biden.  How is that for bringing a divided nation together?

It doesn’t stop there!  HR8 and HR127 are also on the Congressional docket.  These two bills are a direct infringement on the Second Amendment of the Constitution.  They would have the effect of making the ownership of firearms much more difficult for a law-abiding citizen, and would have no effect on armed criminal activity.  This too is another Progressive Democrat unconstitutional overreach that would have nothing less than a negative affect on the safety of law-abiding citizens, and both need to be defeated!

The President is in direct violation of Article 1, Section 1 of the Constitution of the United States.  The Congress is in direct violation of Article 1, section 8 of the Constitution.  The “Necessary and Proper” clause in the Constitution found in Article I Section 8 was not intended to give Congress the authority to do whatever they felt was a good idea. This clause meant that they had the authority to pass any legislation that was necessary and proper to implement the powers delegated to the United States Congress in Article I Section 8 of the Constitution.  They are not delegated powers to go against the Constitution, and neither is the President.  As long as they control the legislative and executive branches, they will continue with this behavior.  Our best chance to reign this lawlessness in is with the court system, and that balance of power too is in jeopardy!

The Democrat controlled Congress has expressed the desire to “pack” the Supreme Court if they do not rule in their favor.  Packing would mean that partisan judges would be added to the courts by the Democrat Senate to ensure that all decisions would favor Progressive wishes, instead of the Constitution.  We have seen numerous occasions where SCOTUS has refused to hear cases that may upset these out-of-control legislators.  If cases of unconstitutional executive actions and legislation go up to SCOTUS, will they find the courage to hear them, or will they buckle to the threat of court packing?  Only time will tell….

There is another remedy, and this remedy will take us all to push our state governors and legislatures to ignore laws and executive orders that are unconstitutional.  Texas and Oklahoma are already on board with this, but in order for it to be effective, there has to be a quorum of states resisting these unconstitutional actions.  We cannot let this lawlessness stand, and if we do not resist their overreach, we will be in danger of losing our country.  Send e-mails and make calls to your state politicians, let them know it is in their hands to make this right.
